United State of Discrimination.

It’s scary how many people are completely okay with The Patriot Act now. Those same people still think we live in a free country. Now, The Patriot Act isn’t just invading on our freedoms, but now the government is still using it to target one group in particular: specifically anyone in America that is of middle eastern decent. Whether Muslim or not, they are still under heavy surveillance. That is not freedom, neither is it protection. That is racism.

A [Christian] professor here at my college stated that he felt so much better that the police were keeping very close watch on every Mosque in our state. I am a Christian, and I attend church occasionally on Sundays. How is that freedom of religion? I have the freedom of going to church without a bunch of cops watching every move. Don’t you think Muslims deserve that freedom too?

I am a straight, white male in America. But that makes me no better than anyone else in this country. I don’t care if you are gay, black, Muslim, or whatever else; we all deserve equality and freedom.
